• INA Section 301 — Citizenship from birth for a child born in wedlock abroad to a U.S. citizen parent.
• INA Section 309 — Citizenship from birth for a child born out of wedlock to a U.S. citizen parent.
• INA Section 320 — Automatic citizenship after birth for a child who becomes a lawful permanent resident and is in a U.S. citizen parent's custody before turning 18.
• INA Section 322 — For a child living abroad who did not become a citizen automatically; citizenship is applied for while the child is a minor.
